Why Learn Web Development

A career in software development provides ample opportunity to grow and develop professionally. As the field evolves, you can learn multiple disciplines or specialize in one that best suits your skills, preferences, or ideal work environment (i.e. remote or in-office).

Many web developers work remotely from anywhere in the world–whether for a company or on a freelance basis–allowing you additional flexibility based on your day-to-day needs. Coding is also a foundational component of tech innovation across multiple industries, with applications spanning from healthcare technology to financial tools to entertainment. That means developers are always in-demand for a range of interesting projects.

Wherever your coding career takes you, you’ll have the skills to qualify for fulfilling positions every step of the way with the Wake Forest University Coding Bootcamp, powered by Fullstack Academy and offered by the Wake Forest School of Professional Studies.

The Demand for Web Developers

Web developers are in high demand in North Carolina and across the U.S.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the employment of web developers in the US is projected to grow 15% by 2026. Businesses of all industries are actively seeking coding professionals, including local high-tech employers like Bank of America, Wells Fargo, and Lowe's Home Improvement.

Hiring for roles like Back-End Engineer, Computer Programmer, Full-Stack Engineer, and Web Developer, these companies are rapidly growing and building out their software development teams. Wake Forest Coding Bootcamp grads will be well-equipped for these roles and many others.
