No, you do not need to be a current student or alumni in order to apply to the Tech Bootcamps.
If you’re interested in the Wake Forest University Bootcamps and not sure which program is right for you, we recommend scheduling a call with one of our Student Advisors. They can provide you with more information about the curriculum and the roles you’ll be prepared for in each bootcamp.
From there, apply to your program of choice (no prep required!). Next, our Admissions team can help you advance in the process and even help you switch programs if you change your mind.
You do need to provide your own computer for the bootcamp. It can be a laptop or desktop as long as it meets minimum tech specifications. You must have at least MacOS 10.15 or newer or Windows 10. Because the bootcamp is live-online, you are required to have a webcam and microphone in order to participate in class.

To be eligible for the program, you must be at least 18 years old and a high school grad/GED holder by the start date of your intended cohort.
No, Wake Forest Tech Bootcamps are not for credit and cannot be applied toward a degree or certificate program. Rather, they’re offered through the Wake Forest School of Professional Studies and facilitated by Fullstack Academy instructors and staff to provide in-demand tech skills training for current or prospective tech professionals.
